Flexibility, Creativity, Community: The Art of Remote LearningCeramics courses quickly adapt to the rapid changes of the COVID 19 pandemic. From slip casting at home, learning new methods of expression like claymation, and visiting with artists around the country, SLU art students find the value in being able to rely on creativity to imagine possible solutions to real life problems.

Conservation In ClayThrough a collaborative research and sculpture project created by Ceramics Professor Rachael M. Jones & Biology Professor Kris Hoffman, St. Lawrence students were able Amphibian and Reptile species Native to New York. Ceramics 1 and Herpetology students worked together to research, sculpt and talk about their chosen species with the culmination of an exhibition & Public talks at the Launders Science Library in the Spring semester of 2019. Many thanks to Nature Up North, and the Mini-Hearst Grant for making this collaboration possible!
